AI companionship startup NatureSelect has raised more than $30 million in a new investment round backed by Alibaba and Ant Group, signaling growing interest in emotionally intelligent artificial intelligence. The funding positions the company as a rising player in a fast-evolving sector focused on human-like digital interaction.
Founded with the goal of integrating AI more deeply into everyday life, NatureSelect develops virtual companions designed to provide emotional support and long-term engagement. Its flagship product, EVE, emphasizes proactive care and immersive communication powered by high emotional intelligence.
At the core of the platform is Echo-N1, a proprietary emotional large language model engineered to recognize and respond to users’ emotional states. According to the company, the system enables more natural conversations by adapting tone, context, and memory over time.
NatureSelect also introduced a dynamic memory architecture featuring 128 adaptive memory slots, allowing the AI to retain long-term preferences and emotional patterns. Combined with advanced 3D visuals and interactive design, the company aims to differentiate itself in an increasingly crowded market.
The fresh capital will be used to accelerate research and development and support global expansion.
