Apple is reportedly preparing one of the most significant upgrades in Siri’s history by combining technologies from two of the biggest names in artificial intelligence. According to recent reports, future Siri requests may be processed through Google Cloud, where a customized version of Google’s Gemini AI model would run on Nvidia’s powerful Blackwell B200 data center GPUs.
The proposed architecture represents a major shift for Apple. Instead of relying exclusively on its own infrastructure and AI models, the company appears willing to leverage external technology to accelerate the rollout of advanced AI capabilities. The goal is to make Siri more capable of handling complex conversations, multi-step reasoning, contextual understanding, and deeper integration with applications across the Apple ecosystem.
Privacy remains a central concern. Reports indicate that Apple has approved Nvidia’s confidential computing technology, which encrypts information while it is actively being processed. This means user data could remain protected even when requests are handled outside Apple’s direct infrastructure. The approach aligns with Apple’s long-standing emphasis on privacy and security.
Nvidia’s Blackwell B200 GPUs are among the most advanced AI accelerators available today, designed to handle demanding AI workloads at massive scale.
