Audi has officially unveiled the third-generation Q7, marking the first complete redesign of its flagship SUV in more than ten years. While the upcoming Q9 will take the role of Audi’s largest SUV, the new Q7 remains a key model aimed directly at rivals such as the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE.
The redesign introduces a far more muscular appearance. Wider fenders, a taller front fascia, and a stronger stance give the SUV a more commanding presence on the road. Audi’s latest split-headlight design also makes its appearance, accompanied by advanced LED lighting technology capable of projecting warnings and turn indicators directly onto the pavement.
Inside, the Q7 receives a major technological upgrade. A curved OLED display dominates the dashboard, while front passengers gain access to their own dedicated screen. Audi also introduces a panoramic roof with adjustable transparency zones that remember user preferences.
Powertrain options vary by market. European buyers receive a mild-hybrid diesel V6, while North America gets more powerful gasoline engines, including a V8-powered SQ7 delivering nearly 600 horsepower.
Perhaps the most impressive feature is the emergency response system. If the driver becomes unresponsive, the vehicle can safely pull over and contact emergency services automatically.
