For the first time, Amazon will hold two Prime Day events in one year. Even though it’s only been three months since the last one, sales are still going strong.
The Amazon Prime Early Access event leads to savings at various stores. This year, you don’t have to wait for Black Friday to find some of the best deals of the year on key PC components and embedded computers. Amazon is launching its Prime Early Access sale, more commonly referred to as Prime Day October or Prime Day 2, on Oct. 11 and 12.
But as with the original Prime Day, which took place over the summer, the tech deals run all week and aren’t limited to Amazon. Other key PC retailers like Newegg, Best Buy, Dell and Lenovo have their own sales in response to Amazon’s initiative.
Even without the sales, it’s a great time to upgrade your PC, make an all-new PC build, or buy one of the best gaming laptops or desktops. After a couple of years where graphics cards were overpriced and hard to find, there is a large amount of unsold, so we are seeing good prices not only on GPUs, but also on other key components such as CPUs, SSD prices and RAM.SSDS especially are down a lot as the price of NAND continues to fall. We are also seeing savings on important peripherals such as gaming monitors, keyboards and mice.
To help you find the best Prime Day October deals on PC hardware as they appear, we maintain this live blog throughout this holiday deal. We also have special lists for the best SSD deals, the best CPU deals, the best gaming laptop deals, and the best PC hardware deals in general.
