In a dazzling unveil, Samsung showcased its latest offerings in the smartwatch arena: the Galaxy Watch6 and Watch6 Classic. These sleek wearables mark a significant leap from their predecessors, blending advanced technology with a touch of classic elegance.
The Galaxy Watch6, a standout in Samsung’s lineup, boasts a 20% larger screen than its predecessor, resulting in a 30% reduction in bezel thickness for a more refined appearance. With a peak brightness of 2000 nits, the display ensures excellent visibility even under the bright sun. An innovative one-touch strap replacement mechanism and an additional fabric strap, complimentary during the pre-order phase, add to the device’s appeal.
A notable return in the Watch6 Classic is the beloved rotating bezel, absent in previous iterations, much to users’ dismay. This classic feature has made a triumphant comeback, enhancing the user experience. The Classic version also embraces a 20% larger display, although the bezel is only 15% thinner due to the rotating mechanism. Like its counterpart, it shines at 2000 nits and introduces a revamped strap-changing mechanism.
Beyond aesthetics, both watches come loaded with cutting-edge health and fitness features. From comprehensive sleep tracking, personalized heart rate zones, and menstrual cycle tracking to fall detection and notifications for irregular heart rhythms, these devices are tailored to enhance users’ well-being comprehensively.
Under the hood, Samsung equips both watches with powerful hardware. The watches are powered by a 1.4GHz Dual-Core Exynos W930 processor and pack 2GB of RAM coupled with 16GB of internal storage, ensuring seamless performance. They also offer LTE, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 2.4+5GHz, NFC, and GPS/Glonass/Beidou/Galileo connectivity options, making them versatile companions for everyday activities.
Moreover, these watches boast robust protection with 5ATM + IP68 / MIL-STD-810H ratings, promising durability against water, dust, and harsh conditions.
Available for pre-order from July 26, these watches will be officially released on August 11. The Galaxy Watch6 starts at $320 for the Bluetooth version and $377 for the LTE variant, while the Watch6 Classic begins at $415 (Bluetooth) and $500 (LTE). Samsung’s latest offerings, blending style, substance, and innovation, are set to redefine the smartwatch landscape.
