The combined wealth of American billionaires has climbed to $13.4 trillion, rising about 10% over the past year. New figures show that U.S. billionaires now hold roughly 43% of all billionaire wealth worldwide.
The United States is home to more than 1,100 billionaires, nearly one-third of the global total. China follows with just over 300, while Europe has surpassed 1,000 billionaires for the first time, marking a significant shift in global wealth distribution.
Analysts note that the rapid growth of the technology and AI sectors has been a major driver of wealth expansion among America’s richest. The acceleration of artificial intelligence is widening financial inequality both between wealthy and average citizens and within the billionaire class itself.
